In praise of bunting in the major leagues

What do you get when an engaging, self-directed undergraduate student walks into a sports media professor’s office and says, “I’d like to prove that managers and players in the MLB should use the bunt more often?”

First, you get some interesting research, then you get a terrific—and first one he’s ever created—video for instructional purposes entirely written, narrated and produced by the student, Brandon Jaramillo as part of undergraduate research and production independent study.

Even if you hate bunting or baseball, this is a fun 6-minute watch. But, if you really hate baseball, respectfully, what’s wrong with you?
Here is a link to the statistical research for those of you who must follow the numbers.
